Women’s Health

We assist with a wide variety of health conditions and imbalances at Good Egg Fertility Clinic including Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Endometriosis. Our founder Philippa is dedicated to women’s wellbeing through Natural Medicine

Polycystic ovarian syndrome

PCOS and Endometriosis can make conception more challenging. These are conditions we frequently assist with, gaining insight into the improvement of health, wellbeing, and seeking consistency in menstrual cycles as well as significant improvements with irregular ovulation.

Considered to be a complex condition Polycystic ovary syndrome (or polycystic ovarian syndrome – PCOS)  and literally translates as ‘many cysts.’

These rarely grow to maturity or produce eggs that can be fertilized.

According to Jean Hailes  Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) affects 12-18% of women of reproductive age and up to 21% in some high-risk groups, such as Indigenous women.

Fibroids and polyps alongside pain and stress can cause unpleasant symptoms for many women. While dysmenorrhoea (painful periods) and premenstrual syndrome (PMT) are not considered causes of infertility, they are conditions considered by your practitioner for attention. Hair loss and excess hair alongside acne are often symptoms of PCOS also. All of these conditions may be assisted using Chinese Medicine, namely herbal medicine and acupuncture.

Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a condition found in 1 in 10 women, with an estimated 176 million women worldwide having the condition. Cells similar to the cells that line the uterus are found in other parts of the body.

Painful symptoms alongside heavy bleeding, bloating and excessive inflammation makes the condition notoriously uncomfortable and stressful for many women. At Good Egg, we help with a  wide range of reproductive organ conditions, and we care very deeply for the comfort of women.

There are various phases in the menstrual cycle, and assistance with female reproductive conditions take into account the physiological processes of each phase from a biomedical and traditional Chinese Medicine perspective.
